Brexit then. Fucking hell, it gives me the shivers just writing that word. Fucking. Brexit.
Honestly, and leaving aside all the politics of it, it’s a fucking shitshow, isn’t it? It’s created absolute chaos. It’s sparked so much anger, so many arguments, so many endless, tedious, monotonous debates.
This is why people should never talk about politics, it makes people too emotional. And not emotional in a good way. How many friendship groups and family’s across the country do you reckon have fallen out over this? I don’t think saying millions would be an overstatement.
Like, it’s always going to be like that. When you talk about your own politics and other people’s politics, you’re largely talking about yours and their personality. Personalities are almost the first port of call in a political debate. How many times have you seen the word ‘heartless’ thrown about? How many times have you read the term ‘snowflake’ over the past five or so years?
Saying you’re right wing, you’re left wing, you’re pro-immigration, you’re anti-immigration, brings about so many connotations with it. But it’s 2019! So everyone has to have an opinion now, from Gary Lineker to James Woods, from your best mate to the guy serving you a vegan sausage roll at Greggs (oh, God, let’s not get started on that too, please).
One day, probably not one day soon, but one day, we’ll be able to get through a day without talking about politics. How long that will be, who knows? But for now, let’s try and take as many breaks as we can, because it’s killing us it really is.
It’s not healthy to be this emotional, this angry, this worked up all the time.
Let’s take a step back, analyse in a bit more detail, and just put some bets on. Try and take away the emotion a little bit, maybe have a bet on something you don’t want to happen? Maybe that will calm us down?
Who knows, and to be honest, it’s almost getting to the point where a lot of us are just about to say, “who fucking cares?”
Anyway, here are all the bookmakers offering Brexit betting odds.
Merry fucking Brexit.
