They’re back together once more. The dynamic duo at the wheel again after nearly a year apart.
Yes yes, 2019 will see Ant McPartlin return to our screens alongside his partner in crime Declan Donnelly after his well-documented addiction problems and drink driving conviction. And it’s sure to be an emotional one too.
Ant looked visibly unwell presenting last year’s auditions with huge bags forming and reddening eyes, and by the time it got to the live shows came about he was forced to step down following the drink driving episode.
But back in the game now, I’m sure Ant will be back on top form following his treatment and as always it’s going to be a wonderful series just like last year’s when the magnificent Lost Voice Guy took the £250,000 winner’s prize and performed at 2018’s Royal Variety show.
The ratings dropped off last year for whatever reason, though, from 9.1 million to 8.33, still huge of course but a significant drop-off in the grand scheme of things, making it the least-watched series ever.
However series 13 is surely going to go back up following Ant’s return. Of course, terrestrial TV across the board is on the decline, but there’s going to be a great deal level of intrigue this year, that’s for sure.
But my overriding question is: how much talent is out there? We’ve had 12 seasons of Britain’s Got Talent now, yet every series there seems to still be more weird and wonderful acts that grace our screens. Is that talent coming close to exhaustion now? Are the coffers at risk of being depleted? I guess we’ll see on 2019’s Britain’s Got Talent!
And all the bookmakers offering Britain’s Got Talent betting odds are in that table below too.
So enjoy!
