Orginally founded as EcoCard back in 2000, ecoPayz has now become one of the longest established e-wallet providers in the world. Bringing with it some of the most respected end-to-end account and card-based payment solutions around.
Where can you use ecoPayz
Although ecoPayz was launched at the turn of the Millennium, it took some time before it really started to kick into gear. 2008 was the year that it first became authorised by the FCA Regulation to issue electronic money, and as they say, the rest is history.
From there, the ball really got rolling with a successful partnership with Mastercard launching in 2009, along with a 24/7 support channel and their very own iPhone app in 2010.
That was all followed by a rebrand to the current name of ecoPayz in 2013, as well as offering a number of new products including ecoAccount, ecoPayz Business Account, ecoCard, and ecoVirtualCard.
Like most e-wallets, the great benefits of ecoPayz are that it is free, secure and extremely easy to use. You don’t need a bank account to sign up either, which means money transfers are a lot quicker to process.
ecoPayz is regulated under the UK FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution (FRN: 900011) and passported throughout the EU.
It is also a member of the Payment Card Industry compliant (PCI), the Prepaid International Forum (PIF), Data Security Standards compliant (DSS), and a principal member of Mastercard and is licensed to issue branded and unbranded payment cards including contactless products.
As ecoPayz is a global payment solution, it is available in every country in the world.
